It’s an easy “come sit with me” opportunity!
“Come sit with me” Sundays are the best days to invite someone new to attend church with you.
For Friendsgiving on November 10, we wanted to make it even easier!
We all know people in our lives who are experiencing one of these “nots”:
- Life is not going well for them.
- They’re walking through something they were not prepared for.
- They have not been to church in a while.
Did a name come to mind? If so, invite them to join you at Friendsgiving Sunday at 9:30 a.m. on November 10. After our service we will have food, fun, and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall.
And if you’re not sure what to say, check out the suggested wording below!
You’ll never know how God could use your invitation until you ask.

I know life has been really tough lately, so I’m sure you’re looking for some relief. You may not be searching for a church, but I'd love for you to come sit with me at Messiah Lutheran Church on November 10th. I can meet you at the entrance so we can sit together. The service is at 9:30 a.m. November 10th is our Friendsgiving—there'll be lots of food and plenty of new recipes to try out before Thanksgiving! I’d love to see you, and I really think you’d enjoy it.

I know life has been complicated this year. And I know it can be hard to find meaningful moments together. One thing I love about attending Messiah Lutheran Church is that I can count on our family having a genuinely positive experience every Sunday. I think you guys might enjoy having that too! We’d love to invite you to come sit with us on Sunday November 10th at 9:30 a.m.... and bonus, it’s Friendsgiving, so you have a great excuse to get in a pre-Thanksgiving dinner!

I know it’s been a while since you’ve been to church. So, maybe you feel nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of attending again. I get it. I really love Messiah Lutheran Church because it feels like a breath of fresh air compared to what I've experienced in the past. The services are about 60 minutes long, and the messages reframe faith in a really helpful way. I always leave feeling hopeful. We have a special Friendsgiving Sunday on November 10th. Would you come sit with me? I’d love to see you there!

If you’re like us, you may be looking for things to do with your kids before Thanksgiving break. I have a great option for you! Sunday, November 10th, is Friendsgiving at Messiah Lutheran Church. I know your kids will enjoy the food and games we have planned while they sit with you. You guys can sit with us during the service which happens before—it lasts about 60 minutes. I always look forward to the chance to press pause on the world around me. And I always leave encouraged. Would you come sit with us?
